1. About Music on MetaHost
MetaHost may provide music and audio features that allow creators to add audio to videos, Sparks, or other supported content.
Music and audio may be provided by MetaHost, creators, licensors, or other authorized sources.
2. Copyright Ownership
Music may be protected by copyright and related rights. Uploading or using a music track does not automatically give a user ownership of that track.
3. Creator Responsibilities
Creators are responsible for ensuring that music included in their uploads can legally be used for the intended purpose.
This includes music added directly to a video as well as music selected through MetaHost's music features.
4. Music Tracks
MetaHost may maintain a catalog of music tracks containing information such as track title, artist, album, genre, duration, cover artwork, preview information, and other metadata.
Availability of a track through MetaHost does not necessarily mean that the track may be downloaded, extracted, redistributed, sold, or used outside the permissions provided by the applicable feature or license.
5. User-Uploaded Music
Users must not upload music or audio that they do not have the right to upload, distribute, or make available through MetaHost.
MetaHost may remove or restrict audio where we receive a valid copyright complaint, identify a potential rights issue, or are otherwise required to do so.
6. Audio Extraction
Where MetaHost processes audio from uploaded videos, that processing is intended to support platform functionality. It does not transfer ownership of copyrighted music to the uploader or another user.
7. Remixing and Reuse
Some MetaHost content may provide features such as remixing, reuse, or other creator interactions. Such functionality does not override copyright, licensing, or other applicable rights.
Users must respect any restrictions associated with the original content and music.
8. Copyright Complaints
Rights holders may contact MetaHost if they believe that music or audio available through the service infringes their rights.
Please provide enough information for us to identify the protected work, the relevant content, your ownership or authorization, and the material you believe is infringing.
9. Removal and Restrictions
MetaHost may remove, disable, restrict, mute, or otherwise limit access to music or content where reasonably necessary to address copyright claims, licensing requirements, legal obligations, platform safety, or policy violations.
10. Music Metadata
Track metadata such as title, artist, album, duration, artwork, and genre may be displayed to identify music used within the platform.
Metadata does not itself grant a user permission to reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit the underlying recording or composition.
11. Third-Party Rights
Music may involve rights belonging to recording artists, composers, publishers, labels, licensors, collecting societies, or other rights holders. Users should consider all applicable rights before using music outside the functionality explicitly provided by MetaHost.
12. Policy Changes
MetaHost may update this Music & Audio Policy as the platform, licensing arrangements, and applicable requirements change.
